Rules

• 1-2 presenters per design area 

• Students can submit a design in the following areas:

  • Scenery

  • Lighting

  • Makeup/Hair

  • Costuming

  • Sound

• Students will present their design concept either about a production that is in the current school year OR a theoretical design.

• Students can not present a design from a show their school has produced in the last 4 years. 

• Scripts must be published and available to license and can be either a musical or a play.  

• These will be evaluated on the originality of the ideas, articulation of concept and ideas through technical knowledge. The "pitch" portion is just as important as the design renderings.

• 1 entry per design area = 5 submissions per school max. Please be prepared to identify the design area, title of show designed, and designate whether the design is theoretical or practical. We may choose to further divide the category if there is an increase in registrations for this category.​
