• 5 minutes max for performance

• 2 -10 actors.   Entries with more than 10 performers will not be allowed to perform.  

• Actors will be judged as if they were performing a monologue.  Singing abilities will be considered secondary to interpretation.

• Time Periods:

  • Golden Age is anything written up to 1968.

  • Modern will be anything written between 1969 and 1999.

  • Contemporary will be anything written from 2000 to present.

• SONGS MUST BE FROM A STAGE MUSICAL – NO MOVIE MUSICALS. (For example: You should not choose anything from "Moana," "La La Land," "Greatest Showman"… you get the idea.) 

  • If this rule is not followed, the selection may be disqualified at festival​

• Songs must be from a musical that is available to produce. This means most new musicals on Broadway may not be able to perform at this festival.

• You must bring your own track/recording for accompaniment. Bluetooth speakers will be provided in the room. Please bring an aux cord that works with your device, if it is not bluetooth compatible. You may bring your own dock/speakers if you prefer. An accompanist will not be provided.

• No a cappella singing. 

  • If you don't have music, you will be disqualified.
